As a Staff Writer at AMA News, I have written nearly 700 stories highlighting the American Medical Association’s wins as well as issues that matter to members (and potential members).
PODCASTING
I’ve recorded more than two dozen podcast for the AMA Making the Rounds feed. Most notably, the AMA Meet Your Match series—which I created and continue to host and produce—offers medical students a step by step guide to a key milestone in their career. The podcast has earned more than 5,000 downloads.
Health care For patients
The medical industry is as complicated as it is important. My ability to synthesize complex health care information and boil it down to what the reader needs to know has helped me earn repeated business from clients in the field.
EDUCation
I have created promotional content for charter school networks and universities. These clips include samples from a project I worked on for Northwestern Global Marketing; the 40 micro-profiles I wrote were featured on a website for incoming students.
E-mail marketing
As a copy editor at Travelzoo, I helped the publishing and copy-writing teams craft -- and proof read -- e-mail content that reached millions of subscribers in 50-plus markets across North America.
